As a Dancing Pastor, I strive to embody God’s grace in all my work. Through a ministerial choreographic process, each piece opens up something within the dancers that allows for healing transformation. As they perform, the dancers bear their souls. Their vulnerability carries the audience into a sacred space, and invites them along this transformational journey. Structured like a sermon, my work has a purposefully clear story line, rich with symbol and metaphor. Large breathy movement juxtaposed with vivid gesture carries the dancer and audience through the realities of human soul existence – sometimes desperate, but always hopeful.
